The ability to combine automation and quality control with a motivated work force has enabled Lindsay to expand in other areas. The company's Contract Manufacturing business has established manufacturing partnerships with many major OEMs. In addition, its Steel Tubing business supplies a full range of products to a growing list of customers throughout the U.S.

In 2006, the company acquired Barrier Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of proprietary movable barriers for lane management and highway crash cushions to improve the safety of motorists and highway workers. In December 2006, Lindsay acquired Snoline S.P.A., a European leader in road marking and roadway safety equipment. The two companies now form part of Lindsay Corporation Infrastructure Division.

In September 2009, Lindsay took ownership of the structures and lighting business for the railroad industry. Lindsay has been supplying large structures to the rail industry for the last six years through GE Transportation. Lindsay will now be supplying the structures, flashing and color lights as well as accompanying hardware direct to the rail industry.

Lindsay has become a major worldwide force in expanding the benefits of irrigation while making it more efficient. Lindsay's name comes from its location, the town of Lindsay, Nebraska, in the center of the United States. The company's success comes from finding a better way to irrigate almost any crop on varied terrain and soils to increase yields and better utilize natural resources. Lindsay's Infrastructure segment continues to develop and promote products to make roadways safer for motorists and highway workers worldwide.
